Maira Gomez is the founder and managing attorney of Gomez Law Office PLLC. Maira is very passionate about helping clients with their immigration journey and helping families stay together.
From a young age, Maira knew she wanted to become an immigration lawyer to help people with their legal immigration needs. Maira realized her dream and attended the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law and graduated in May 2021 where she earned her Juris Doctor. While attending law school, Maira gained experience in immigration law doing various internships/externships, including Maxwell Street Legal Clinic, Church Law, and Kentucky Refugee Ministries.
Prior to graduating law school, Maira completed a Judicial Externship for Judge Julie Goodman in the Fayette Circuit Court Fourth Division. Maira was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Board.
Upon graduating law school, Maira joined English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, LLP, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she continued her passion of helping clients with their immigration needs and also practiced family law.
In January of 2024, Maira was hired as Deputy General Counsel for the Commonwealth of Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts, where she assisted the General Counsel in providing legal advice and guidance to the office of the Auditor of Public Accounts.
Maira felt a calling to start her own law office and continue to assist clients in the areas of law that she is most passionate about, and in April of 2025, Gomez Law Office PLLC (GLO) was born. Gomez Law Office PLLC is here to provide compassionate, trustworthy and dedicated representation to all of our clients.
Maira is fluent in Spanish and continues to practice her French. Maira enjoys attending church, and church events, and loves praying for people and their needs. Maira loves spending time with her family and friends and loves having a good conversation over coffee anytime.
